Luckenbach, TX

Luckenbach is a small community located 13 miles away from Fredericksburg. The area has deep western roots and a small population which attributes to a ghost town feel.  There is a working saloon, dance hall, and general store in the area. The general store has turned into a souvenir shop for visitors. Go by for a visit or check out when bands are playing for a memorable evening!

First Friday Art Walk


Each first Friday of the month, walk throughout historic Fredericksburg while enjoying a variety of art exhibits and demonstrations, live music, and wine from local wineries! Participating galleries are open late (until 8:00 pm) for this self-guided tour while you explore the unique character of each gallery and meet the artists who make all of it possible.

National Museum of the Pacific War

The National Museum of the Pacific War is the only museum in the continental U.S. solely dedicated to telling the story of WWII in the Pacific.

Pioneer Museum

The Pioneer Museum and historical site on 3.5 acres on Main Street showcase hundreds of everyday artifacts in 10 buildings, four of which are in their original spot from early Fredericksburg.
