Fredericksburg is located in the middle of the Texas Hill Country which is home to over 40 wineries and vineyards attracting thousands of visitors each year. We've narrowed down the options for you below, but there are many others that are outstanding, too!

William Chris Vineyards

A leader in producing premier wines from 100% Texas grapes, Calais offers a unique underground space – consisting of winery, cellar and tasting room - is fondly known as The Cave. With tasting room walls made from reclaimed wood siding from an old horse-barn and birch plywood panels throughout the winery, guests catch a glimpse of the same skill and artistry comprising our wines. Kuhlman Cellars values: Family, Food, Friends and Fellowship. Tasting room was carefully designed to educate guests about their process from a knowledgeable guide, an intimate view of the working winery and Sommelier & Chef prepared cuisine. One unique experience for $30 is for 5 wines tastings, 5 seasonal small bite food pairings and "Wine 101' educational opportunity with a Sommelier. Reservations (even same day) required.

This is our favorite "In-Town" tasting room! The Weingarten is nestled in a quaint historic rock cottage with a stone-walled courtyard (with indoor tasting and outdoor seating) and provides a family atmosphere for sharing a picnic of excellent local food and wine. Their food baskets are wonderful to pair with the wine! Weingarten open Friday & Saturday from 12-8pm and Sunday from 12-5pm
